什麼樣的人到了晚年可能成為「又窮又老又孤獨」的「下流老人」呢?這個由日本社會學者藤田孝典剛創出的新名詞,反應了一般大眾不願面對的殘酷事實,就是即使年輕時身為中產階級,晚年後只要發生下列狀況就有可能淪為「下流老人」,像是生了一場大病,無法負擔高齡者看護設施,孩子是啃老族,身邊沒有可以依賴的親友,等等。但是要提升老後的生活品質,不能只靠金錢,根據藤田孝典的研究,人際關係的貧窮,往往比物質的貧窮更容易讓人淪為「下流老人」。 最近剛好看到兩部截然不同的短片來描述孤獨老人的情境。一部是西班牙的成人動畫片(Pasión Siega, 1979),帶著有色有味的黑色幽默透過孤苦老人古怪可笑的行徑,毫不留情地反射了人類社會裡孤立無助的悲慘晚年。 另一部加拿大的短片(The Makeover, 2014) 也是屬於黑色喜劇,企圖用正面積極自救的態度來為八十歲的鰥夫和30年代的拉風古董車打造出第二春的機會,結果是否能成功達成任務呢? 即使同樣為貧窮所苦的老人,有人過的痛苦,有人過的開心。要如何強化自己的心態,建立起有意義的生活網路,都要從年輕就開始準備。 Reference: Pasión Siega (Blind Passion) is the episode extracted from Histories of Love […]
